Scott Harrison is a founding member of the Trillium Brass Quintet and a busy freelance trumpet player, performing regularly with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra London Canada, and the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra. He is in demand as a private trumpet instructor and clinician, and is a member of the faculty of the National Music Camp of Canada. In addition to his activities as a performer and educator, Scott is an avid transcriber of music for many types of ensembles including, of course, TBQ.

Scott’s past freelance engagements include performances with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Toronto production of Phantom of the Opera, and the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. He also composed trumpet descants for three CD projects with the Hosanna Choir.

Scott began studying trumpet in Toronto at the age of 14. After finishing high school at the Etobicoke School of the Arts, Scott continued his studies at the University of Toronto where is teachers included Jeffrey Reynolds, and Barton Woomert. After graduation, he pursued private studies with legendary pedagogues Vincent Cichowicz and Arnold Jacobs. In 1994, Scott toured Canada as a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada.
